Carlos Delgado Honoured by the Blue Jays

Yesterday, the Blue Jays officially added Carlos Delgado’s name to the ‘Level of Excellence’ at the Rogers Centre (neé SkyDome) prior to a 4-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Delgado, the holder of several Blue Jays records, played for the Jays between 1993 and 2004.  He is a two-time All-Star and three time Silver Slugger.

In the game, R.A Dickey would surrender four runs off three home runes as he picked up his 11th loss of the season. The Blue Jays scored a run early in the game to take a 1-0 lead, and tried a comeback in the 9th as José Reyes hit a 2 RBI double before Adam Lind walked. But after having Rajai Davis pinch ran for Lind, and stole third, Melky Cabrera – in his first game since going on the disabled list – grounded out to end the game.
