VIA Rail’s The Canadian Departure – May 4th 2022

For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, VIA Rail’s flagship train, The Canadian, is now back to two days per week.

The first first day of the resumption of the second departure of the westbound version of the train, #1, was today, May 4th, 2022.

I was able to get most of the consist of the train, which is as follows:
