One of my pass times is walking.  One enjoyment of walking is the ability to add in the ability to do some amateur photography and to learn about different areas, especially historical sites and locations.

One a recent walk through Colonel Samuel Smith Park, located on the site of what was the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital, I discovered an abandoned staircase near the old powerhouse.

From what I have discovered, it appears there used to be a residence for an employee of the hospital near the stairs and the stairs presumably belonged to the residence. Of course, if anyone has any more information, please feel free to share it in the comments section, as I am eager to learn more about this area, and the site itself.
