Closer Casey Janssen starts out the year on the 15 day disabled list, so Sergio Santos will take over the closer’s role until he returns, and catcher Erick Kratz was called up to fill the opening in the roster. Adam Lind and Edwin Encarnación will share the first base and D.H. positions, as they did last year. R.A. Dickey is the opening day starter for the Blue Jays, while Dustin McGowan is scheduled to start the home opener on Friday.
