Toronto Argonauts 2014 Schedule Announced

The Toronto Argonauts 2014 Schedule has been announced.  The two main highlights include 2 games against the Ottawa Redblacks, the newest team in the league, and the return of the Labour Day Classic against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The highlights of the season include the following:

  • The season opens June 26th in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers
  • The home opener is on July 5th against the Saskatchewan Roughriders
  • Week 4 is Toronto‘s first game in Ottawa since 2005 when they face the RedBlacks
  • Week 10 is the Labour Day Classic in Hamilton (September 1st)
  • Week 17 is the last game of the year, at home, against the Ottawa RedBlacks

The season calls for 3 games against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and 2 games each (one home game and one away game) against the rest of the league (6 teams.)

The Argonauts are the defending the East Division Champions, but were beat by the Tiger-Cats in the East Division Finals last year.  The Argos won the Grey Cup back in 2012, and will be looking to win the Grey Cup with a slightly revamped team.
