On February 13th, 2024 I made a quick trip to London, Ontario and back on VIA Rail.
I went down on Train #73, returning on Train #76.
The weather was a bit funny too. Sunny at times, and then strong flurries, then nothing,

It is only January 20th, 2024 and I have already my first robin of 2024.
As nice as this is, and as much as I hope it is a sign of warmer weather coming after the recently batch of cold weather, it is aslo concerning that robins are starting to return to Ontario this early in the year.

I hope that this year is filled with joy and happiness.

With 2023 coming to an end, I’d like to review this year. It was a very busy year, one with happy events, but also with sad events.
2023 came in with the 25th Anniversary of Metropolitan Toronto and six local municipalities coming together to form the current City of Toronto.

Continue readingOn December 2nd, 2023, the Etobicoke-Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade took place. The parade took place along Lake Shore Boulevard West from Dwight Avenue to 30th Street in the communities of New Toronto and Long Branch.
This is the second year of the parade since the pandemic.
There were several floats, some marching bands, local politicians, and some local sports groups.
