Chuck Norris Passes Away at 86

Famed American Actor Chuck Norris has passed away at 86.

Mr. Norris was born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Ray and Wilma Norris.

In 1958 he joined the United States Air Force as an Air Policeman and was stationed in South Korea. It was then that he was nicknamed ‘Chuck’, a nickname that stuck with him for the rest of his life.

He would have a breakout role in Way of the Dragon as the nemesis to Bruce Lee in 1972.

He would receive his first starring role in 1977’s Breaker! Breaker!

Mr. Norris’ most famous role was as Sergeant Ranger Cordell Walker in Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 to 2001. Following the end of the TV series, he appeared as Agent Joshua McCord in The President’s Man and The President’s Man: A Line in the Sand and in the TV movie Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire.

He was well known for being into Martial Arts, founding two systems: the American Tang Soo Do and the Chuck Norris System/Chun Kuk Do. He held several black belts, including in Chun Kuk Do, Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Judo, and Karate.

He was hospitalized in Hawaii in March 2026, passing away on March 20th, 2026.
