The 2019 Divisional Series have now been completed and the Amercian League Championship Series (ALCS) and National League Championship Series (NLCS) are now set.

Let’s look at the two series:

In the ALCS, The New York Yankees (103-59) face off against The Houston Astros (107-55.)  The Astros are competing in their third straigh ALCS, and are hoping hoping to win their second AL Pennant in three years – they won the AL Pennant and the World Series in 2017.  The Yankees are looking to win their first American League Pennant in 10 years.  The Yankees swept the Minnesota Twins while the Astros took five games to beat the Tampa Bay Rays.

In the NLCS, the St. Louis Cardinals (91-71) face the Washington Nationals (93-69.)  Both teams played five game series in the divisional round as the Cardinals beat the Atlanta Braves and the Nationals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Look for a close series going six games with the Cardinals winning the Pennant.
